We got a table right away even though it was Friday evening, and the place is one of our favorite eateries. The food was superb. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken and it tasted fresh with the right amount of spice.

Went here with a friend early this afternoon. 5 stars is for the really nice server we had--patient, helpful, no stress. Really gave us that real restaurant experience. There were not many people mid-afternoon and I really appreciate that the workers never made us feel rushed. Love that they also have parking instead of going on the street. As to the food, it was more 3-4 stars. I liked the chow mein which ended up being crispy noodles with sauce, my fave. I didn't like the sizzling beef as much, but prob bec I just did not like the style but maybe others would. There were good pieces of meat, though not a big dish. Overall my friend and I enjoyed having lunch here. I like that the servers also wear traditional Chinese shirts which seems like a nice touch to the ambience. Prices were great too if you're sharing with someone (dishes are meant to be shared so an entree does not have noodles or rice yet). We ordered one noodle dish and one beef dish to share. I like how the server did not try to upsell us and agreed that these were enough for us. We did pack leftovers too. The price was very reasonable. Less than $25 per person which includes tax and tip already. Edit: I ate my leftovers last night and it was soo good, even better as the sauce settled in the noodles. I'm craving it again. Will be back another time!

This place is pretty reliable for westernized Chinese food. I've tried a few different dishes and never had anything I didn't like. Prices are kinda of what you'd expect for Hillhurst, but portion sizes are pretty good so it's worth it. Dining in with no reservation is very doable if you don't go at peak times.

This bar and restaurant is a hidden gem of Los Feliz! Generous pours, crazy good prices. Killer Mai Tai and Margaritas! Ask for Alex behind the bar he makes them so good! And the food? Don't get me started. Hands down the best Chinese food in LA. The classic decor is warm and inviting. You're going to love it. I almost hesitated to post this because it's so special I don't want too many people finding out! But alas I had to post this to share the love! Thank me later. ;)
